Rick Jeanneret, the incredible in depth commentator referred to for his 51-year residency as the voice of the group, died on Thursday night, the Bison Sabers affirmed. He died at 81 years old, as affirmed by his loved ones.

Bison Sabers shared the insight about his demise in a tweet, “The Bison Sabers grieve the existence of our unbelievable telecaster and an our relative, Rick Jeanneret, who died today. We send all of our affection to his loved ones, and the whole Sabers people group.”

John Richard Jeanneret, generally perceived as “RJ,” was a renowned Canadian TV and radio character lauded for his broad 51-year residency as the in depth commentator for the Bison Sabers in the Public Hockey Association (NHL). He played a big part in the group’s transmission organization, the Sabers Hockey Organization. Jeanneret started working with the group on the radio in the 1971-1972 season, and he kept up that recognized vocation for the rest of the 2021-2022 mission.
