A previous understudy shot and killed a College of Arizona teacher inside a grounds expanding on Wednesday evening, the school and a report said.

The shooter started shooting inside the John W. Harshbarger Working at the college’s fundamental grounds in Tucson at around 2 p.m., sending the school into a lockdown for more than an hour prior to the suspect was captured.

The school affirmed in an explanation that one individual was killed in the shooting. The casualty was subsequently distinguished by the Tucson Sentinel as 52-year-old teacher Thomas Meixner, the top of the college’s Division of Hydrology and Barometrical Sciences.

The suspect, distinguished as 46-year-old Murad Dervish, was caught by state police around 5 p.m. on Highway 8 in Gila Curve — north of 100 miles away, Tucson.com revealed.
