Blake Shelton has chosen to make a stride back from his training obligations on The Voice following a 12-year ride.

On Tuesday, the “God’s Country” vocalist reported that the following time of the singing rivalry show will be his last — marking 23 successive seasons with the show before his exit.

“I’ve been grappling with this for some time and I’ve concluded that it’s the ideal opportunity for me to back away from The Voice after season 23,” the 46-year-old nation star wrote in an Instagram post. “This show has transformed myself all around to improve things and it will constantly feel like home to me.”

He proceeded, “It’s been quite a ride over these 12 years of seat turns and I need to thank everybody at ‘The Voice’ from NBC, each maker, the scholars, performers, team and cooking individuals, you are awesome. It takes a ton of work, energy, and grown-up refreshments (Ha!) to pull off a live show two times every week.”

Shelton then, at that point, pondered the connections he developed on the show — and gave a holler to the competitors.

“I’ve made deep rooted bonds with Carson and each and every one my kindred mentors throughout the long term, including my significant other, Gwen Stefani! I need to give a colossal holler to the vocalists – the ‘Voices’ who come on this stage a large number of seasons and flabbergast us with their ability and an extraordinary thanks to the people who picked me to be their mentor.”

He finished up: “Ultimately, it’s about you all, the fans, who watch and backing these craftsmen, us mentors and everybody at ‘The Voice’ pursuing their fantasies.

It wouldn’t occur without you!” Shelton started training season one close by Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green.

In the interim, the 40-year-old “Since You’ve Been No more” vocalist said she’s “so eager to be back with my Voice family!” A debut date for season 23 is yet to be reported, yet watch season 22 of The Voice on NBC Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. with Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello and John Legend as mentors.
