The mother of three youngsters, Erin Merdy found lethargic on Coney Island’s shore has been accused of homicide, police said Wednesday.

An hour and a half later, police got a call from relatives who were with Erin Merdy on the promenade, around two miles from where the youngsters were found. The chase after the kids heightened when Erin Merdy was viewed as alone, and police sent in a helicopter and marine units.

The youngsters were spotted close to the water’s edge not long after 4:30 a.m. on a calm fix of ocean side roughly 13 blocks from the arena where the Brooklyn Cyclones small time ball club plays.
